Napoli striker set to leave club in the summer

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain looks set to depart the club at the end of the current season.

There former Real Madrid man has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio San Paolo, with Atletico Madrid reportedly interested in the player.

Il Messaggero report that the club are prepared to sell the Argentine in the summer, with a potential destination being Atletico Madrid in which he could be joined by current teammate Jose Callejon, who has also attracted the interest of Atletico coach Diego Simeone.

However it is highly unlikely that Napoli president Aurelio di Laurentiis will let both of his star players leave the club.

The report also states that if Higuain is to leave the Azzurri then the club will look at Porto striker Jackson Martinez as his potential replacement.
