Napoli have reportedly submitted an offer for Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar.
The Partenopei are aiming to strengthen their defence in the January transfer window, and have set their sights on the Aston Villa captain.
According to Il Mattino, Napoli have offered €2 million to acquire the player, as well as offering the Dutchman a two and a half year contract.
The report also states that the only obstacle Napoli could face is Vlaar’s annual wage of €2.2 million, however Partenopei chairman Aurelio Di Laurentiis is willing to give the player his demands in order to overcome the side’s defensive frailties.
Napoli are set to travel to face Cesena on January 6.
