Ivorian defender Sol Bamba’s adventure in Italy may soon be over despite having only recently arrived at Palermo last Summer on a free transfer.

The much-traveled centre back has played most of his football in the UK, with clubs such as Hibernian, Dunfermline Athletic and Leicester City.

However, the French-born player is currently out of favour with Rosaneri coach Giuseppe Iachini and, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Leeds United have made contact with the Sicilian outfit over the possibility of a transfer.

The Championship club owner, Massimo Cellino, is said to be keen on making a deal and negotiations are at an advanced stage.

The Ivory Coast international was recently in Turkey with Trabzonspor, where he made 27 appearances before switching to Serie A at the start of the season.
