Palmeiras have completed the signing of Fiorentina’s Ryder Matos on a loan deal until December.

The 21-year-old Brazilian had spent the first half of the season on loan at Spanish side Cordoba, however after a change in management at the Andalusian club he was deemed surplus to requirements.

Palmeiras confirmed the deal through their official Twitter account and the player also had a few words to the club’s website.

“I am very happy to be at a big club like Palmeiras. When I heard of the move I was very happy and I will now endeavour to win a starting place in training, for when you have the opportunity, you can do great things here at Palmeiras.”

Matos, who is capable of playing as a striker or a winger, moved to the Viola in 2012 and has three goals for the Florentine side, all of which have come in the Europa League.
