Inter could be poised to make a move for Porto player Rolando during the January transfer window.

Despite the injury suffered by captain Andrea Ranocchia not being as serious as first thought, the Nerazzurri could delve into the market in search of a defender to add further cover at the back.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, coach Roberto Mancini has re-iterated his plans of increasing his side’s defensive strength, and Porto’s Rolando has emerged as a top target.

The 29-year old has also been strongly linked with a move to champions Juventus and may well find himself back in Serie A by the end of the month.

Rolando already spent a full season on loan last season, and scored four goals in 29 league appearances for the Nerazzurri.
