Rolando InterItalian giants Juventus are close to securing a deal for former Inter centre-back Rolando, who is currently on the roster of Portuguese giants Porto.

The 29-year-old Portuguese international had a loan spell with the Nerazzurri last season but they struggled to acquire the full ownership of the defender.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Porto are now ready to deal with Juventus by lowering their asking price for Rolando, who has rejected a deal from Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg.

It is thought that Zenit were willing to pay Porto €5 million for Rolando, but the defender has been happy to wait for a move to the Bianconeri.

If a deal for Rolando cannot be completed, Juventus will go for Fiorentina’s 23-year-old centre-back Stefan Savic instead.

Juve wanted to buy Savic from the Gigliati in the summer but the clubs could not negotiate a deal that both parties found satisfactory.
