Roma have delayed the proposed deal for Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah in order to try and sign striker Luiz Adriano instead.
With the deal for the young Egyptian nearing completion the capital club are assessing their options with only one non-EU spot left, with the management opting to try and sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano.
According to Il Tempo, the club’s sporting director Walter Sabatini is keen on both players but can only take one during January, with the Shakhtar attacker believed to be his preferred choice.
The 27-year-old has been in brilliant form in the Champions League this season, bagging nine goals in just five matches.
