Udinese director Cristiano Giaretta admits the club are evaluating several offers for striker Luis Muriel, but insists youngster Simone Scuffet will not leave this month.

Both players have been struggling with form and minutes, and have been linked with moves away from the club this transfer window.

“Roma linked with Scuffet? He will definitely stay at Udinese until June, then we’ll see,” Giaretta confirmed to Centro Suono Sport.

“So far the boy is our goalkeeper for the Coppa Italia, and continuing his path of growth here. He is a goalkeeper with a great margin of improvement in him.

“Muriel? We have several requests, we are evaluating: it is obvious that he will not remain with us for a long time.”

Giaretta then turned his attention to the clash with second-place Roma on Tuesday and is confident that his club can get a result against the Giallorossi.

“For us, tomorrow will be a difficult match. Roma along with Juventus is one of the best equipped teams in the league.

“We’ll have to try to run more than them, we will not play within ourselves and wait for the chance to play, instead play with pride.”
