Xherdan Shaqiri’s move to Inter edges ever closer as the winger missed his training session today with Bayern Munich.

Inter general director Marco Fassone and sporting director Piero Ausilio are in Munich with representatives of the German champions and a breakthrough is believed to be close.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the 23-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Italian side and should arrive on a six-month loan deal worth €2 million with the mandatory option to purchase for €11 million and an extra €1 million should Inter qualify for the Champions League.

Shaqiri has been also been the subject of heavy interest from Liverpool though the Reds are yet to submit an official offer and it looks unlikely that they will pip Inter for the Swiss international’s signature.
