Former Cesena forward Hugo Almeida could still have another chance to prove himself in Serie A this season.
The Portuguese‘s contract at the relegation-threatened club was terminated by mutual consent this week, after he recorded just 10 Serie A appearances and having failed to find the net in any of those matches.
Sky Sport Italia report that Udinese are keen on landing the thirty-year-old international striker and that negotiations have already begun to take place with representatives on both sides.
The player has also reportedly attracted the interest of Turkish outfits Gazientspor and Balikesirspor and may find himself back in Turkey if the Udinese deal falls through.
Almeida has already played in the Süper Lig, where he spent three years with Besiktas, before signing for Cesena this Summer.
