Udinese have closed the signing of Boca Juniors left-back Emanuel Insua, and look set to immediately loan him out to Spanish outfit Granada.
The 23-year-old Argentinian is the brother of former Liverpool left-back Emiliano Insua, and is set to join his brother on a European adventure.
Sky Sport Italia report that Udinese have payed Boca Juniors €2.5 million for the services of Insua, who has established himself as one of the elite fullbacks in the Primera.
It’s likely that they will loan Insua to sister club Granada until the end of the season to acclimatise the player to European football, before bringing him back to Italy for the summer.
Udinese have a good track record of bringing in young South Americans, and have high hopes for the left-back.
