Werder Bremen director Thomas Eichin admits the club would investigate a move for Lazio striker Miroslav Klose if he were made available.
The 36-year-old German international has found it tough to break into the Lazio first team this season, struggling to usurp Filip Djordjevic as boss Stefano Pioli’s first-choice.
This has led to speculation that he may seek a move away from the Serie A outfit, with a number of clubs interested in his services, including former club Bremen.
“If he were put on the market, we would definitely think about it. He has a great past at Werder Bremen,” Eichin confirmed to Bild.
Klose had a hugely successful stint at Bremen from 2004-2007, netting 53 goals in 89 matches which lead to a move to German giants Bayern Munich.
