Pablo Armero’s proposed move to Genoa from AC Milan has fallen through at the last minute after the player reportedly took too long to agree to the move.

The Grifone had been expected to sign Armero from the Rossoneri, however after the Colombian initially stalled on the transfer the club moved for Real Valladolid left-back Zakarya Bergdich instead.

SportMediaset report that by the time Armero eventually agreed to the move, the deal for Bergdich was already complete and Genoa no longer required the former Napoli player’s services.

The Stadio Luigi Ferraris club have taken Bergdich, a 26-year-old Morocco international, on loan with an option to buy.
