Jeremy ToulalanInter have moved one step closer to signing Monaco star Jeremy Toulalan after director Piero Ausilio confirmed the club’s interest in the player.

The 31-year-old former French international has been at the Ligue 1 giants since making the move from Malaga in 2013, and could leave the club at the end of the season when his current deal expires.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Toulalan may come to the Nerazzurri headquarters tomorrow to sign the pre-contract that will bind him to the club for the next two years.

The player is suspended for his side’s Champions League knockout match with Arsenal on Wednesday evening, and may make the trip to Milan instead to accelerate proceedings.

When pressed on Toulalan, Ausilio confirmed: “It’s an opportunity.”

Toulalan has been an ever-present once again for Monaco this season, making 26 appearances across all competitions.
