Cagliari goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic has said that his side must happy with the draw against Torino.

Both sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico, with the Serbian making crucial saves to deny Fabio Quagliarella and Matteo Darmian.

“I think it was harder to save Quagliarella’s strike, because it was from close range,” he told Sky Sport. “However, I’m glad we got a point.

“We played better in the first half, and we could’ve won, but we must be content because Torino showed their strength in the second half.

“It is no coincidence that Torino have been on such a good run lately, they’re a really strong side.”

The draw leaves Cagliari in the relegation zone, one point off Chievo who have played one game less.

“We are all happy, staff and players,” he said. “We’re training really well, and I think we’re on the right track.

“Serie A is not over yet, at times we were unlucky but also we conceded easily, if we continue like this then we can improve our place in the table.

“[Godfred] Donsah? He scored a great goal and played a great game, he ran nonstop for 90 minutes.

“I congratulate him, and I hope he continues his form.”

Cagliari’s upcoming game will be at home to Inter on February 23.
