Mohammed Salah of Chelsea is nearing an 18-month loan move to Serie A side Fiorentina.
The transfer has been a work in progress for a number of days now, as the Egyptian is being used as a makeweight in the English club’s pursuit of Juan Cuadrado, but talks had stalled after the two clubs could not reach an agreement regarding who would pay his wages during the first six months of his 18-month loan contract.
According to Sky Sport Italia, an agreement has been reached and the move is now imminent, meaning Cuadrado’s move to Chelsea will be confirmed before the transfer deadline.
Salah has failed to impress during his 12 months in London, and has made just three appearances for the Premier League club so far this season.
