Chievo could be set to confirm the contract renewals of four important players including Alberto Paloschi and Sergio Pellissier.

The Flying Donkeys are planning for the future as they secured a second consecutive victory in a week to sink Sampdoria 2-1 at the Stadio Bentegodi and move four points above the Serie A relegation places.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that an official announcement is still to be made, but that new one-year extensions have already been reached with experienced defensive pair Dario Dainelli and Bostjan Cesar.

Top-scorer Paloschi is also reported to have agreed to a new contract, while Chievo’s all-time appearance holder and top-scorer Pellissier is expected to stay beyond the summer.

However, one player that could be released by the club is fullback Gennaro Sardo.

The 35-year-old joined Chievo on an initial loan in 2009 from Catania in part exchange with Giovanni Marchese before joining on a permanent deal in 2010.
