Ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea enforcer Lassana Diarra revealed that FIFA blocked his move to Inter last month.

The 29-year-old French international has been free agent since having his contract terminated by Lokomotiv Moscow last year, but is currently locked in a legal dispute with the club.

Diarra completed a medical with the Nerazzurri last month, but was unable to finalize his move after the club opted not to sign him.

“There is a conflict with Lokomotiv Moscow. As long as it is not sorted, FIFA forbids me to play,” Diarra explained to L’Equipe.

“Before West Ham, there was a chance to sign with Inter. Even then, FIFA blocked the move.

“I got fired and I can not play football. I do not understand Fifa. It’s a crazy thing because I’m free. Why is FIFA taking so long? You really ask yourself questions.”

Diarra explained how he got his contract terminated, insisting “the management wanted to change the contract. I refused and I got fired.”
