Newly signed Sampdoria striker Samuel Eto’o has refused to take part in the team’s afternoon training session.
The Cameroon international joined Sampdoria from English Premier League side Everton last week, signing a three and half-year deal.
However, the striker has already defied coach Sinsia Mihajlovic by skipping Monday afternoon’s training session, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Blucerchiati were defeated 5-1 by Torino on Sunday, a match in which Eto’o played the final 15 minutes. Following the team’s heavy defeat, Mihajlovic ordered his players to participate in double training on Monday.
Eto’o was in attendance for the morning session; however, the striker left the training centre after its completion.
It is suggested he did not communicate with coaches or players why he was leaving, only that he would not be in the afternoon’s training session.
