Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon believes his side are not out of their Europa league second leg tie with Inter, despite having to win at the San Siro following a 3-3 draw with the Nerazzurri on Thursday evening.

Xherdan Shaqiri and Rodrigo Palacio put the Nerazzurri ahead within the opening then minutes before Celtic fought back with two quickfire goals from Stuart Armstrong and a Hugo Campagnaro own goal before the 22-year-old forward scored late on following Palacio’s second, in which Gordon made an error when gathering the ball.

“I made a mistake with the third goal as I misjudged the through-ball and could not keep hold of it and it landed at Palacio’s feet,” the Scotland stopper told the press.

“Goalkeeping has highs and lows but I need to keep on doing my job as errors are going to happen.

“The late goal gives us a chance and it keeps us in the game but we have lost the away goals.

“We will have to go to Milan and win but we only need to win by one goal.

“It changes things in our favor as we looked like we would go into the second leg requiring two goals.

“We showed great spirit to come back to come back but with the crowd behind us.”
