Celtic goalscorer John Guidetti believes his side can take the game to Inter in the second leg of their Europa League tie after the Glaswegian side fought back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 with the Nerazzurri.

Xherdan Shaqiri and Rodrigo Palacio put the Nerazzurri ahead within the opening then minutes before Celtic fought back with two quickfire goals from Stuart Armstrong and a Hugo Campagnaro own goal before the 22-year-old forward scored late on following Palacio’s second.

“To score goals is the best feeling in the world and to do it at such a late stage is fantastic,” the Sweden international told the press.

“I love the big games and to break a goalscoring drought is in such a big game is a real boost for me but my confidence was always there.

“I do not think Inter were not the better team today but it was a tight game.

“They said before the game they would have a better chance today but we proved them wrong and our fans make a huge difference to us.

“We have a great traveling support and we hope we can do the same at the San Siro next week.

“It was not a good feeling to be down after ten minutes but that is football and the beauty of the game.

You will have to ask the coach as to whether I will start in the next game.
