Fiorentina are continuing their work in providing plans for a new stadium which they hope to build.

Since 2012, it has been reported that the Viola are looking to move out of the Stadio Artemio Franchi, a venue which holds a maximum of 47,282 spectators.

RTV38 report that Fiorentina representatives have been discussing the financial requirements with the city’s ruling committee, but a definite monetary contribution has yet to be agreed.

It is also believed that the exact area of land for the new stadium complex has not been confirmed thus far, presenting some key technicalities which need to be ironed out by the two parties before the project can progress.

Built in 1931, Vincenzo Montella’s side’s current home was a venue for the 1990 World Cup, and was renovated for the tournament by the means of an increased capacity and the removal of an athletics track.
