Fiorentina full back Manuel Pasqual is 360 minutes away from having his contract with the Gigliati renewed.

The 32-year-old left-back’s contract expires in June and Pasqual needs to play four full matches or eight games for at least 45 minutes if he wants his contract to be extended for another year.

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade told La Nazione that negotiations with the Viola captain will commence after the renewal clause has been activated, even if there is a risk of losing him on a free transfer.

Pasqual has played 11 league games for Fiorentina this season and he has scored two goals. The left-back has not played since he scored the winner in the Viola’s 3-2 victory against Atalanta on February 8.

The Fiorentina skipper has also played four times for Italy since Antonio Conte became the coach of the Azzurri in August last year.
