Fiorentina’s out-of-favour forward Mounir El Hamdaoui is closing in on a move to Cesena.
The Dutch born Morocco international has endured a frustrating time with the Viola and has made only three appearances for Vincenzo Montella’s side this season, scoring one goal.
The two sides have apparently reached a deal that will see the 30-year-old move to the struggling Serie A side according to a report on Sky Sport Italia.
The forward began his career at Dutch side Excelsior and enjoyed his best goalscoring form with AZ Alkmaar, where he netted over 50 goals in just over two and-a-half seasons. He was also a key member of the Ajax side that won the Dutch First Division in 2010-11.
