Fiorentina midfielder Jasmin Kurtic praised the team’s esprit de corps and cohesion after his side’s 3–1 win over Sassuolo on Saturday afternoon.
It was Khouma Babacar and Mohamed Salah — on his debut — who offered La Viola a convincing win over hosts Sassuolo.
Kurtic had kind words for both his coach Vicenzo Montella and teammate Micah Richards, who was making a rare appearance for Fiorentina, after his side’s win.
“We always give out best for the coach and we won today thank to our collective spirit,” Kurtic said.
“Richards is very strong and always does his best; he should be fine if he continues this way.
“The atmosphere has always been good here, even during the bad times.
” We are having a great season and have to continue like this; sometimes we will lose but we must keep our heads up.
“Montella is very helpful and important with that and he allows us to express ourselves, as you have seen today in our play.”
Fiorentina currently sit fourth in Serie A.
