Roma coach Rudi Garcia has said Daniele Verde must not be put under huge amounts of pressure.
The 18-year-old Italian put in an excellent performance on his first Giallorossi debut in Serie A, after assisting both goals in a 2–1 win away to Cagliari on February 8.
“Verde is 18-years-old, he has to be given time to grow,” Garcia said to the press.
“It is not a good thing to put too much pressure on him.”
Verde has scored one goal in three appearances for the Italian under-19 national side. He appeared three times for Roma overall following his promotion to the professional team, after playing a key role in I Lupi’s youth squad.
“He is a humble guy and must continue to learn, the most important thing is that he has a future at Roma,” Garcia said.
