Enrico Preziosi GenoaGenoa president Enrico Preziosi has announced that the full-back Luca Antonini no longer features in the Grifone’s plans.

Reports have suggested the player could be released from his contract after he turned down a deadline move to English Championship side Watford and Serie A’s Chievo.

“He needs to clarify the situation, not me,” said Genoa president Preziosi according to PianetaGenoa1893.It.

“Luca will have all of our respect for as long as he continues to be employed by our club.”

“Any discussions about technical issues or behaviour can be responded to by him.

“For me, he is still a Genoa player and he should be respected absolutely.

“Antonini knows how things have gone, we will have the opportunity to clarify things when the moment is right, but he will surely not feature in our plans again.”

Antonini made three starts for the Rossoblu during the first half of the 2014-15 Serie A season.
