Gremio defender Rhodolfo has confirmed that Inter made an effort to sign him last month.
The 28-year-old Brazilian has been a standout defender in the Campeonato Brasileiro for a number of seasons now, and was targeted by the Nerazzurri in January.
“I am very happy to still be here,” Rhodolfo told Gremista ZH.
“It is clear that playing at a big club like Inter is a dream for every player, but I am aware of the efforts that Gremio made to keep me.“
Rhodolfo signed for Gremio permanently in August 2014, and previously being on loan at the club from Sao Paulo.
