Giuseppe Iachini is confident that the uncertanity over the future of his South American duo, Paolo Dybala and Edgar Barreto, won’t effect his Palermo side.

Both are being linked with moves away from Sicily, but as the Rosanero prepare to welcome Napoli to the Renzo Barbera stadium on Saturday Iachini is confident that the transfer speculation surrounding his players won’t effect his team.

”The guys are calm,” Iachini told reporters at the weekly press conference.

”Their are working hard in training and on the pitch and being out on the pitch will distract them from all the speculation.”

Despite problems with availability in defence the former Brescia coach isn’t using that as an excuse shoud the result not go Palermo’s way.

”It should not be used as an excuse we will deal with this problem in the best way possible as we evaluate what players to use based on who is available to us and the opponent we are facing.”

With Napoli vying for the Champions League places Iachini acknowledged his team will have to be at their best if they are to cause an upset.

”We are aware we will have to give somethin extra if we are to get a positive result as Napoli are a very strong with a great coach in Rafael Benitez.”
