The London club had already enquired about the availability of the striker in previous weeks and it is now rumoured that they will try to clinch a deal in the final few hours of the transfer window.

Tuttomercatoweb.com are reporting that head coach of QPR Harry Redknapp is willing to offer a huge sum to try to land the 29-year-old forward.

However there are also reports linking the striker with a potential return back to Argentina with Boca Juniors also looking to obtain the players signature.

Sport Italia have confirmed that there is a possibility of the striker joining the Argentine side, especially after the club president stated that they are interested in the player and that he has already made contact with him.

“I have spoken with Pablo and he has said that he is a Boca Juniors fan,” said Daniel Angelici [the president].

So now with only a few hours remaining the transfer window, it is up to the player to decide what his next move will be.
