AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi is reportedly safe in his position at the club for another week after securing a 2-0 win over Cesena on Sunday.

The 41-year-old had been widely expected to be on his way out of Milan if the Rossoneri had failed to secure a positive result against the Seahorses, with assistant coach Mauro Tassotti apparently next in line to take over at the helm of the San Siro outfit for the remainder of the season, but it seems he can temporarily rest easily until the next match.

According to the Corriere della Sera, Inzaghi’s future may now hang in the balance for the next few weeks as he tries to earn more satisfying results starting with AC Milan’s next clash against Chievo in Verona on Saturday.

The victory over Cesena was only the Diavolo’s second league win since the start of 2015 and they currently sit in eighth place on the Serie A table with 33 points.
