Lazio defender Michael Ciani has turned down the opportunity to play in the Chinese Super League as he is holding out for a move to his native France.
The 30-year-old defender is out of contract with the Biancocelesti and is highly unlikely to remain with the Italian club beyond the summer, although he is not too keen to move to China.
According to Lalaziosiamonoi.it, Ciani has turned down an opening offer from a Chinese Super League side, but the unnamed side are reportedly prepared to make a new offer to tempt the player.
Ciani is also of interest to French club Lille, who would be keen to sign the player on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Ciani has made nearly 50 Serie A appearances for Lazio over the course of his two and a half seasons at the Rome club and during the current season he has started just five games with two additional appearances from the bench.
