Malaga have revealed that Inter made an inquiry into the availability of midfielder Ignacio Camacho prior to the transfer deadline being closed.
It is believed that the 24-year-old Spanish international was on Roberto Mancini’s list of possible signings for the Nerazzurri, though a move failed to materialize.
“For Camacho we recieved a call, not an official offer but a call, from Javier Zanetti,” Malaga director Mario Husillos revealed to El Mundo Deportivo.
“He wanted information about a possible transfer for the player.
“We responded that whoever wants the midfielder must pay €20 million, the full value of the release clause.”
As a result of Malaga’s valuation of the midfielder the Italian club turned their attention to other possible targets, eventually landing Marcelo Brozovic from Dinamo Zagreb.
