Inter coach Roberto Mancini has congratulated the club’s youth team following their victorious Viareggio Cup campaign.
The Nerazzurri Primavera defeated Hellas Verona 2-1 in the final of Italy’s most prestigious youth tournament, which is held in the coastal town of Viareggio each year.
“They were good, it is not easy to play so many games in a few days, but they deserved to win,” Mancini told the microphones of RaiSport.
The former Manchester City boss also shared his thoughts on top scorer Federico Bonazzoli, stating he has all the attributes needed to succeed.
“He is the right age to play here, he’s good.”
Inter beat Roma, Pescara and Parma en route to the final, where a Bright Gyamfi goal secured a 2-1 victory to seal the Nerazzurri’s seventh triumph.
