Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo has revealed that he’s still unsure of when he’ll be returning to the Biscione squad while he continues nursing a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old tore his right hamstring while on international duty with Japan for the AFC Asian Cup in January and has had recurring problems with the injury ever since, which eventually led him to return to his home country to undergo treatment.

Nagatomo spoke to reporters at Haneda airport before boarding a flight back to Italy about his current condition and admitted that he’s still uncertain of how much longer he could be on the bench.

“My return to the Inter line up? When I get back to Italy I’ll have to speak with the doctors there and find out,” said the Japanese international, who has had injury troubles since the start of the season.

The left back has managed to make 10 Serie A appearances this term thus far.
