Cassano - ParmaBari coach Davide Nicola has said that Antonio Cassano would make his squad complete if the enigmatic striker signed for the Galletti.

The 32-year-old Cassano is a free agent after he had his contract terminated by Parma and Nicola would consider “Fantantonio” to be an excellent addition to his squad.

“He would be the cherry on top of the cake in a group that I consider to be good and constructed with logic and commitment,” Nicola told Calcio News 24.

“Cassano is a genius. He would have an incredible importance in this division but I want to concentrate on Livorno.”

Twelfth-placed Bari play third-placed Livorno on Saturday afternoon and Nicola is looking forward to facing the team he coached in the previous two seasons.

“To play an important match [like this] would be the most interesting in our path,” he said. “I return to a city that has given me a lot from a professional and human point of view.”
