The agent of Inter midfielder Joel Obi has dismissed claims that his client is set to move to Qatari giants Al-Arabi.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international looks set to stay at the Nerazzurri according to his agent Renzo Contratto, despite attracting interest from the Middle East last week.
“There was a possibility, but that was it,” Contratto told FcInterNews.it. “Now we look at the present day, the past is the past and it doesn’t count now.”
“Joel is at the disposable of Mancini and the new regime undertaken by the Nerazzurri. He has done well, but he can still improve.
“Contract renewal? The goal is to do well now, Then, further down the track, we will see.”
Obi has made 14 appearances for Inter across all competitions so far this season, netting one goal.
