Francesco Bardi and Stefano Sorrentino could swap shirts in a bizarre move that would see the current Palermo custodian make a dramatic return to his former club.

Sorrentino has already featured for the Flying Donkeys, having made over 130 appearances for the club between 2009 and 2013, before making the move South to join the Rosaneri.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Chievo are trying to instigate the move with Bardi no longer a regular feature in their starting line-up.

The 23-year-old is still owned by Inter and has been loaned to various clubs since being signed by the Nerazzurri in 2011.  He has featured for the Italy U21 team on 31 occasions but has yet to break into the senior national squad.
