Parma head coach Roberto Donadoni is hoping to complete a deal for Juventus right back Marco Motta before the transfer deadline closes on Monday night.

Donadoni is desperate to add more steel to the Ducali’s leaky defence and he has identified the out-of-favour Juventus man as the ideal player to improve his side, which has the worst defensive record in Serie A this season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the 28-year-old defender has been given permission to leave the Bianconeri, as he has not made a single appearance for Massimiliano Allegri’s side during the current season, and Parma are ready to make the late move for Motta.

Motta began his career with Atalanta and his performances earned him a move to Udinese where he had loan spells at Torino and Roma. He joined Juventus in 2010, but much like his time with Udinese, he spent the majority of his time on loan away from the club.
