Parma have signed Italian defender Michele Canini from Atalanta after the 29-year-old began the 2014-15 season on loan at Tokyo FC.

The Crociati have also been heavily linked with Rubin Kazan forward Marko Livaja who enjoys a reputation as something of a ‘bad boy’ in Italy after once being expelled from the Atalanta squad in 2013 for a breach of discipline.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Parma have finalised a deal with Atalanta for Canini with the defender ready to return from Japan.

The Crociati are also expected to confirm the signing of Livaja from Rubin Kazan on deadline day, marking a return to Italian football for the former Cesena and  Inter forward.

Parma have also reportedly wrapped up a deal to sign Moroccan defender Feddal from Palermo.
