The president of Granada has confirmed that Jeison Murillo is virtually an Inter player and that barring any last minute difficulties the Colombian will join Roberto Mancini’s squad at the end of the current season.

The Nerazzurri have been involved in protracted negotiations to sign the 22-year-old centre back and today Enrique Campuzano Pina announced that the transfer deal has reached the final stages of completion.

“Everything is done and all that’s missing is the signatures on the contracts,” the 46-year-old told FcInterNews. “It’s an €8 million fee plus two bonuses.”

“The bonuses will be very easily reached since they are subject to conditions that will naturally occur during over the course of the contract: the first is that he makes twenty appearances for Inter and the second is dependent upon Inter qualifying for Europa League at the end of next season.

“The player will sign a five year contract with Inter worth €1 million per season, a figure which is €300,000 below what we pay him each season.

“There were offers from Porto and Roma, but the player has accepted that they were not taken into account. We knew that Murillo would leave sooner or later and accepted Inter’s offer because it was good.”

Murillo has become a key player for Granada since joining from their sister club Udinese in 2011.
