As Premier League side Liverpool prepare to deal with the departure of iconic captain Steven Gerrard they would have identified Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic to help fill that void, and the capital club could be willing to consider selling the Bosnian.

Just as with Giallorossi’s own Francesco Totti, replacing the England international will be a difficult feat next summer and the 24-year-old is seen as just one of a number of players required to cope with the loss.

After investing the significant fees received for Erik Lamela and Mehdi Benatia over the last two seasons, Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that Roma are confident that they could reinvest wisely once more but would not entertain offers under €50m.

Since arriving in Rome for €11m from Lyon in 2012, such a fee would look a decent bit of business for the Serie A club, however, Roma would also be losing a man who has contributed a lot in his 109 appearances.
