Luca Rossettini has insisted Cagliari will be ready when they welcome Roma to the Stadio Sant’Elia on Sunday.

Cagliari lie in 17th place, one point above the relegation zone, and will want to get back to winning ways after going down to a last minute defeat at Atalanta last weekend.

Their opponents Roma are also hoping for a victory to get their season back on track after a couple of disappointing results, including the midweek Coppa Italia defeat to Fiorentina, but Rossettini says his team will have to really fight to get something from the game.

”The best way to get over the defeat in Bergamo was to come in and train harder,” he told cagliaricalcio.net.

”Against Roma we need to give a little extra and keep focused until the very last second. It’s a team built to win and they will be doing everything to get themselves back to winning ways.”

Rossentini also urged the Cagliari fans to be their 12th man and make it tough for The Giallorossi.

”It is clear we will start at a disadvantage but with the help of the fans we can certainly get a result.”
