Sampdoria are looking at potential replacements for goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano for next season, according to reports.

The 29-year-old is currently on loan at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris from Palermo and a permanent move to the Blucerchiati in the summer looked to be a formality, but now his future looks uncertain.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that Samp president Massimo Ferrero is exploring other options before deciding on Viviano’s future, options that may include Fiorentina stopper Norberto Neto.

Neto is out of contract in the summer but rumours have suggested that he already has an agreement in place with Juventus, and so Viviano’s future could depend on Samp’s ability to tempt the Brazilian to Liguria.

January signing Alberto Frison is set to become second choice goalkeeper with Sergio Romero likely to leave the club once his contract expires in the summer.

Viviano has been impressive for Sampdoria this season, with the former Fiorentina man keeping eight clean sheets in 15 games for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side.
