luigi Sepe empoliEmpoli goalkeeper Luigi Sepe will reportedly sign a new contract with parent club Napoli in the coming weeks.

The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at Empoli until the end of the season, has publicly expressed his wishes to return to the Partenopei once the 2014-15 campaign comes to a close and hopes to remain there for quite some time, though negotiations have been stalling as of late.

According to TuttoNapoli.net, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has recently come to an agreement with the goalkeeper’s representatives that would see him extend his time with the San Paolo outfit until 2019, but is still yet to give the green light to make things official.

Sepe, who came up through the Neapolitan side’s youth academy, made his professional debut for the Serie A club in 2009, though he has spent most of his career out on loan.

The former Italy Under-19 international has made 19 league appearances for Empoli this term thus far, securing seven clean sheets along the way.
