Torino coach Giampiero Ventura regretted his side’s profligacy and said his team had enough chances to beat Cagliari.
The Granata dominated Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino on Sunday afternoon in Serie A, but only managed a 1-1 draw as Torino found themselves thwarted by Rossoblu keeper Zeljko Brkic.
“We had opportunities in front of goal, but we calmly accept the draw,” Mandorlini said to Rai Sport after the game.
“There was desire in the air to make it five wins in a row.”
Torino host Athletic Club in the Europa League knockout stages on Thursday February 19, an achievement which Ventura says means a lot to the club.
“The Europa League is a great satisfaction for us and for the city, if we play like we played over the last few matches then we can play well against Bilbao.”
