Cagliari boss Gianfranco Zola admits that his team will be facing a tough Torino side in Turin on Sunday but remains hopeful that his men can overcome the hosts to secure a positive result.

The Isolani, who have lost their last two Serie A matches, are preparing to clash with a very in-form Granata line up and the tactician admits that he’ll be fielding several fresh players in order to increase his chances of earning some points.

Zola spoke during his pre-match press conference on Saturday about how difficult Torino will be to defeat despite their upcoming Europa League match on Thursday and commented on which players will be available to him.

“I don’t expect any of our opponents to give up anything on the pitch,” said the 48-year-old.

“They have an important game on Thursday, but I don’t think that they’ll be distracted at all. I expect a difficult match.

“Torino boss Giampiero Ventura? From my point of view he was one of the best offensive minded coaches that I’ve ever had.

“Modibo Diakite? He arrived here in good physical form but his condition is not optimal.

“Josef Husbauer has grown a lot. It must be said that their is a huge difference between his old league and the Serie A. His time will come.

“Training more in attack does not mean that I’ll be using a different formation or change the tactics too much.

“Daniele Dessena is back? He’s someone that I have available. I have to make an assessment, there are players who have been a bit overused, so I could make some changes.

“Paul-Jose M’Poku? He has just arrived from a different league and I’m still very happy with him. I’m yet to decide whether or not I’ll use him as a starter yet.

“I have many good, valuable players in his position that I could choose from.”
