Former AC Milan midfielder Kaka has named the 11 players who make up his Dream Team, accumulated through his 15-year illustrious career.

Seven Rossoneri from Kaka’s time with the club make the cut – Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, Dida, Cafu, Andrea Pirlo, Ronaldinho, and the Brazilian Ronaldo, while former Juventus player Zinedine Zidane is the only other player among the last four who had Serie A experience.

Kaka's Dream TeamSpeaking to the Daily Mail, the current Orlando City player placed his compatriot and former Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos alongside the first four Rossoneri on the list to complete his ideal defence, while Barcelona’s star Andres Iniesta is in the company of Zidane and Pirlo in a three-man midfield line.

In attack, alongside Ronaldinho and the “Phenomenon” Ronaldo, who led Real Madrid’s attack between 2002 and 2007, is the Blancos’ current superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

While justifying his choice to go with Nesta, Kaka pointed out the Italian’s tactical understanding and speed.

“The Italian players, they see the game in different way to all other nations,” he said.

“They grow up learning about tactics, so when they play professionally they can see where to position themselves and how to move and what the opponents will do.”

It made Nesta such a strong defender and he was so quick, too.”
