AC Milan are reportedly targeting Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim as a possible replacement for Pippo Inzaghi once the season comes to a close.

The 40-year-old has been able to lead the Ligue 1 side to an impressive campaign thus far despite the departures of major players like Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez last summer and it seems like the Rossoneri will be looking to bring his talent to Italy.

According to Marca, AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has been impressed by the Portuguese tactician’s work as of late and would be open to initiating talks with him in the coming months if the San Siro outfit fail to improve under Inzaghi.

Jardim, who arrived at Monaco in June 2014, currently has a contract with the club that will last until 2016 with an option to renew for an extra year.

The French club sit in fourth place in the Ligue 1 standings and are still in the running for a Champions League title, as they’re now preparing to face Juventus in the quarter-finals on April 14.
