Conte’s frustrations at the helm of Italy have been well documented already, with the Azzurri coach often criticising Serie A coaches and the FIGC for not cooperating with him to improve the national team and Italian football.
Conte spoke in a long interview with magazine Chi, explaining that his time as Italy coach has been disheartening and hinted at a possible club job.
“Before [at Juventus] I had daily contact with all my players, but I chose with my heart and took the Italy job,” Conte said in Chi.
“I like working but I realised that the job as Italy coach is more difficult because of the lack of continuity.
“This has me a bit disappointed today.
“I am now with the national team, and then we will see whether I renew with the Italy project or take a club.”
